Storyline
Living in Vijayawada are Padmabhushan (Suhas) and his parents. His father Madhusudan (Ashish Vidyarathi) works as an office clerk, and his mother Saraswathi (Rohini) is a homemaker.
The goal of library employee Padmabhushan is to become a well-known writer. He publishes “Toli Audugu,” an uninspired novel, with his own money, but it doesn’t get any notice.
Unexpectedly, an uncle who hasn’t been seen in a long time sends out invitations to the wedding and declares from the dais that he will be tying his younger daughter to the renowned writer Padmabhushan.
Many people think he’s a gifted writer who has penned several books, including his fiancée. Someone is also publishing a blog under his name without his knowledge.
For now, Padmabhushan’s only task is to track down the writer of the blog and the novelist who has been writing under his name.
Plot
When Bhushan gets love and appreciation for a book he didn’t write, his life is completely transformed. Even though he is aware that he doesn’t deserve it, a part of him feels that he must take advantage of the chance. He is forced to maintain a perplexing frame of mind for the duration of the movie due to this intriguing plot feature. Which also gives the story a mysterious element. This alone, from a writing standpoint, makes the opening part of the movie a lighthearted and pleasant watch. Supported by charming characters in the shape of Bhushan’s parents (Ashish Vidhyarthi and Rohini Molleti).
Even the rom-com scenes, which frequently seem to be the least interesting portions of these bright movies, are charming and full of energy. An absolutely amazing scenario that takes place in a Navrang theater is also a result of the characters’ nativity. In a similar sweet moment, Bhushan tells his mother he won’t eat until he completes a writing assignment. Naturally, the commitment is broken the moment he finds out she is preparing chicken. You see, these are real, everyday moments.
Review
Writer Padmabhushan is essentially a personal coming-of-age story. That many of us can identify with. Whether it’s the sadness that results from our efforts not being recognized. Or the desire for recognition. It has a charming and peculiar atmosphere. In this humorous dramatization, not a single individual has a gray area.
Unfortunately, the second half of the movie gets, for lack of a better word, boring. After the great interval bang. When the name of the person who started the transformation in Bhushan’s life is revealed. There are too few surprises. And the spectator and the character are left with insufficient incentive. These sections might be found annoying. Because they absolutely lack the energy and velocity that permeated the first half. And give the impression that the story is meandering aimlessly. Fortunately, everything comes together to create a stunning climax sequence.
There isn’t any death here, so don’t worry. In the end, the only tears to be cried are happy ones. Additionally, Shekar Chandra’s background score brilliantly highlights these moments.
Suhas does a fantastic job of humanizing a character that could have been caricatured. Keeping all of his flaws and wants. Bhushan plays a lovely role. That is made much more so by his acting. Which gives the character certain cues. That make him seem less like a movie protagonist and more like a real person.
Writer Padmabhushan, is not a perfect movie. It has certain problems both artistically (continuity errors and budgetary constraints). And writing wise. But overall it’s a kind of charming little film.
They did, after all, make one Quite a nice one. . In fact, Bhushan discusses the affection Telugu people have for movies in his opening voice-over. Inspiring movies such as Writer Padmabhushan are certainly deserving of it.
